Rob Parisien of Video Split Productions created another use for Macrosystems,
world famous non-linear edit system. After purchasing the first unit a few
years ago, Rob was set on making this system work for the feature film industry.
After months of testing and adapting it's pre-set software to be more video assist
friendly. The package needed to be built. Rob decided to start off only with a single
Casablanca unit, built into the cart.

The operator cart, powder coated black aluminum was designed with all the extras to
make an operator, perform as un-noticed but still as efficient as can be. The director's
cart, was built of the same style with most formats of video within arms reach.
Complimented with a pull out shelf, lighting and storage drawers, one director
quotes " Like a portable office that was always close by".
The operator is able to give a director, instant playback, at any frame rate, cut
shots together, as long as the editors are on lunch. We also have been known to
edit a great gag reel from time to time.
This combination of carts and the digital element, now two camera ready, all attractively
priced, has had nothing but rave reviews.
